Emily's Italy Trip 2016!
Sunday, May 15, 2016
I'm in Italy! The flight on Friday really wasn't that bad. It was long, and I didn't sleep much because it was super uncomfortable, but I was able to watch The Dead Poet's Society and Sisters (that movie with Amy Poehler). I was super excited about Dead Poet's because I've wanted to watch that movie for awhile and it's not on netflix, but the plane had it! The plane had a lot of good movies actually.
When we landed, it was really cool and cloudy and we got our luggage and then got on a bus to Montepulciano from Rome. It was about a 2 1/2 hour ride and we stopped for food mid-way, and then we made it to this gorgeous, walled, mountain city of Montepulciano. We had to wait in the bus parking lot for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to get a van ride up to our apartments (my group of roommates did anyway), but, we got one of the best apartments because it's right in the middle of town and we're only one of three apartments that has wifi.
It's been a crazy experience so far. We have several nights where we have group dinners, classes on Mondays and Tuesdays, and field trips on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The rest of our days are generally free, though we will have homework and classes to prepare for. It's going to be a crazy experience. I'll really be in shape by the time this trip is over, haha, so many hills.
It's currently 5:50 pm here, and we're going to dinner at 7:30. That's all for now.

And So It Begins
And so begins my first trip without my family. I'm currently sitting in the airport waiting to load onto the plane, and then I'm off to Italy! I'll post most of my pictures and updates here if you guys want to follow me to see everything.
So long for now,
